This policy explains how WorldEventGuide uses cookies and similar technologies on worldeventguide.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags and other methods that store information on, or access information from, your device.
What WorldEventGuide currently uses
WorldEventGuide does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioral-tracking pixels or general-purpose audience analytics. The site currently uses local storage only when you intentionally save an event.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | When used | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
world-event-guide:saved:<event> | WorldEventGuide | Remembers whether you saved a particular event on that device. | Only after you select “Save.” | Until you remove the saved event or clear browser storage. |
The saved-event value is functional browser storage requested through the Save control. It is not sent to WorldEventGuide, does not identify you to us and is not used to follow you across websites.
Hosting, forms and server logs
Loading pages or submitting a form may cause our hosting and security providers to process request information in server logs. Server logs are not cookies and do not necessarily store information on your device. See the Privacy Policy for how technical information is handled.
External websites
Our pages link to event organizers, hotels, transport providers, review platforms and other independent websites. WorldEventGuide does not place their cookies while you remain on our site. If you follow an external link, that website may use cookies under its own policy.
Consent and future optional technologies
Because the site does not currently activate optional analytics or advertising storage, there are presently no optional cookie categories to accept or reject. If we introduce nonessential analytics, advertising, personalization or embedded services, we will update this policy and activate an appropriate consent mechanism before those technologies operate where consent is required.
That mechanism will allow visitors to accept, reject or customize optional technologies and later change their choice. Optional categories will remain disabled until the required choice has been made.
Managing saved events and browser storage
You can remove a saved event by selecting its Save control again. You can also delete local storage through your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. Blocking browser storage may prevent saved-event preferences from working but will not prevent you from reading the site.
Browser privacy signals
WorldEventGuide does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not currently conduct targeted advertising. If those practices change, we will implement applicable opt-out controls and recognize qualifying browser-based privacy signals where required.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the technologies used by the site change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
