Privacy Policy

How WorldEventGuide handles information when you use the site, contact us or request updates.

Effective and last updated: July 10, 2026

WorldEventGuide publishes independent travel and event-planning information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when it may be shared and the choices available to you. It applies to worldeventguide.com and messages or subscriptions submitted through the site.

Who is responsible for your information

WorldEventGuide is responsible for personal information collected directly through this website. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to contact@worldeventguide.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, selected reason for contacting us and message. If email updates are offered and you subscribe, we collect your email address and subscription status. We also receive information you include when you email us directly.

Information saved on your device

If you select “Save” on an event, the site stores that choice in your browser’s local storage. The saved-event value remains on that device until you remove the event or clear your browser data. It is not transmitted to WorldEventGuide and is not used to track you across websites. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Technical and operational information

Our hosting, security and form-processing providers may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device information, referring page and error or security logs. We use this information to deliver the website, prevent abuse, diagnose failures and protect the service. WorldEventGuide does not currently use advertising pixels, behavioral tracking or general-purpose audience analytics.

Why we use information

Depending on where you live, our legal bases may include your consent, taking steps at your request, compliance with law and our legitimate interests in operating a secure editorial website and responding to communications. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent.

How information is shared

We may provide information to service providers that host the site, process forms, store editorial or subscriber records, deliver email, prevent abuse or provide technical support. These providers may use the information only to perform services for us or as otherwise permitted by law.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate misuse, protect people or property, or complete a business reorganization. We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International processing

WorldEventGuide is intended for a global audience. Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.

How long we retain information

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an explanation of how your information is used; to object to certain processing; to withdraw consent; or to complain to a privacy regulator. Residents of jurisdictions with sale, sharing or targeted-advertising rights may also opt out where those activities apply.

WorldEventGuide does not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising. If those practices change, we will update this policy and provide the legally required controls, including recognition of qualifying browser-based opt-out signals.

To exercise a privacy right, email contact@worldeventguide.com. We may need to verify your request. Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law allows it.

Children

WorldEventGuide is a general-audience travel publication and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

External websites

Our guides link to organizers, hotels, transport providers, review platforms and other independent websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by them, not by WorldEventGuide. Review their policies before providing information or making a purchase.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site, our providers or applicable requirements change. The effective date above will show the latest revision. Material changes will be presented more prominently where appropriate.
